The second sprint

Greetings, ye Knights, Maidens and Lieges!

And welcome back to another Devlog!

To start it off, here's another update on our level:
We fixed a few issues we had with the spikes too!

We've also added 3 new weapons!
The Two-Handed Axe, a Wooden Sword and.... a Twig?

We also got a few more particle effects:
A blood splatter:

And an impact effect:

Our programmer Renzo has started working on a main menu level!

As you can see, it's still REAAAAALLY barebones, but for now:
- The red cube takes you back to the start menu
- The green cube changes the colour of your character to the next available one
- The blue cube takes you into the game after standing in it for 10 seconds

Our artist Gaétan is currently working on some barrels and boxes to place around the scene, once those are added to the scene we will definitely be showing them off!

Reï, our other programmer, spent a lot of his time cleaning up some ugly code! The biggest advantage of this clean up is that it will be easier for the programmers to add things in the polish phase, stuff like sound effects, particles and changing global settings.
Besides this, he also spent some times on squashing some nasty bugs, like a respawn timer appearing when you have no lives left and revisiting pick ups so they feel more natural and consistent.

Meanwhile, both Jens and Reï are working on adding audio to the game too. Currently there are a few ones made already, but they have not been implemented yet.

We've also made some tweaks and changes to the values of some things.
For example, the river will now slow you down way more than before (down to 30% of your normal speed)

Have fun slaying and Stay tuned for next week!

Not bad! Id say cool! For myself, you know, i start to dig how to make simple 3d models... like tree, house... yes, maybe blade...simple gun...Blender is a tricky thing for the begginner...for me...

Thanks  for the lovely comment! We're glad you liked our devlog. As a programmer myself I also found it quite challenging to get into modelling. I suggest you keep practicing and find new techniques to learn since it's a skill and that means that practice makes perfect.
