The final finish

Greetings, ye Knights, Maidens and Lieges!

And welcome back, for the final time, to our Devlog!

To start things off with, we have a trailer for our game!

Now, to get into the changes we've implemented in the last week:

One of the newest additions, is a curtain for the colour changing!

We now also have adaptable banners!

If you take a close look at the yellow banner in the background, it turned blue once the blue player got in the lead!
This gif also includes the final change to our fire. We've removed the blue bottom part of the fire as it collided a lot with the blue from the river.

Our winner will now also get a crown, as well as all the flags in the main level being changed to their colour!

As you may have noticed too with all these gifs, we've made the game a bit more vibrant with post processing!
Here is a quick comparison image!

As you can see, our game goes from very dark and dull, to more vibrant and alive!

Despite all these additions, there was a lot of time spent on fixing bugs.
Here's a list of some of the bugs we encountered:

  • Water not slowing anymore
  • Last player standing not getting the appropriate score
  • Fire jumping (imagine that in real life!)
  • Player dying getting score instead of the killer getting score
  • Bringing weapons to the main menu from the game scene using the pause menu

These have of course all been fixed by now and we have our amazing programmers to thank for that!

It's been an incredible journey working on this game! There were definitely some ups and downs, but it was all really an enjoyable experience.

We hope you enjoyed our development!
